Want to make money without a job ? Who doesn’t !
As I sit here writing this, it dawns on me that I don’t have job.
And I know I’m not alone. So many of us are looking for ways to make money fast and easily.
The good news is, there are hundreds…no, thousands…of ways to add to your bottom line without having a job.
And a lot of them can be done online. With little effort on your part.
In this article, I’m sharing 13 ways to simply make money without a job. These are my picks of the most convenient, easy, and prosperous ways to have more money in your pocket without working for it.
Here’s How To Get More Money In Your Pocket (and you don’t even need a job).
#1 Save Your Email Receipts
Whenever you shop online, make sure you get a confirmation email of your purchase. Why? Because more than likely whatever you bought just went on sale…somewhere. And Paribus, a free tool that checks for price reductions, will pay you 75% of the difference between what you paid and the “new” price. The Paribus tool scans through your email receipts, looking for purchases you made from Amazon, Target, Best Buy, Walmart, Kohls (and several others), saving you the time and aggravation of tracking the price drops.
#2 Be a “Looker”
You can make money without a job doing the legwork for someone else. WeGoLook pays you to check out things that their customers aren’t physically able to do. Like checking out a rental property, looking at something on Craigslist, or looking at a car for sale.
#3 Whip Out A Few Surveys
I couldn’t write this article without mentioning surveys. Seriously. You’ve got nothing to lose.
True, Surveys aren’t the best way to make money. A lot of people call them scams but I’m here to tell you they aren’t. The trick is finding the best ones. The ones that actually pay cash OR – at the very least – let you earn points to redeem for cash.
And here they are:
My tips: sign up for more than one survey site and download their apps (if they have one). You can make more money doing surveys if you have more options and do them with your phone.
#4 Flip Used Stuff
I came across this video by “Craigslist Hunter” and I gotta say I love the idea of flipping used stuff!
Watch for yourself and tell me you’re not “sold” (tee-hee 🙂 )
#5 Be The Next Big T-Shirt Designer
I live in my t-shirts. So much so they’re all falling apart. If only I knew where to get some cool new shirts.
Yep, words spoken by so many. And you can come to our rescue by being the designer of our everyday staple. This is a non-job way to make easy money doing something that shows off your expressive abilities. If this is something you’re interested in, consider submitting your designs to:

#6 Get Paid For Your Artwork
Tap into your inner Dickinson, Van Gough, or Dr. Seuss and make money for your artwork. And I’m not talking only about art you do with a brush. Whether you’re a poet or painter, you can get paid for your artwork and make decent money, too.
You can get paid to make greeting cards with companies such as Blue Mountain Arts and American Greetings and if you’re more than a greeting card kind of person, try Artsy, CafePress and Etsy to sell your arts.
#7 You’re smart. Make Money As An “Expert” Answering Questions
Have you ever had a question stuck in your craw? Something you needed an answer to so you turned to the web for resolution? Well, you can turn the tables and be the know-it-all for others.
Here are some well-known sites that pay you to be an “expert” on any topic:
- Just Answer (answer a variety of questions)
- Study Pool (online tutor for a variety of subjects)
- Wonder (research and answer in detail)
- Maven (be an expert, share your knowledge)
#8 Get Paid To…
Another easy way to make a little bit of money is with the ever-popular “Get Paid To…” sites.
The premise is simple, do a little something and get paid. For example, Prize Rebel will pay for watching videos, downloading apps and doing little online tasks. Swagbucks pays for watching videos and doing quick surveys.
#9 Be a Crowd Worker
I love this idea ! Why ? Because you can do whatever kind of “work” you’re good at.
Want to do something completely mindless like data entry? Want to show off some of your talents like graphic design? And the need for Crowd Workers isn’t limited to these areas. Think of anything you you’re good at: image editing, creating logos, editing documents, crafting resumes…the opportunities are endless.
Being a Crowd Worker has you covered, no matter what you can – or want – to do. And the more you do, the more skills you have, the more you’ll earn.
#10 Sell Your Boxes
Now who doesn’t have a few empty boxes lying around? Believe it or not, you can sell your boxes to people who need them and make a few bucks. Who knew? Boxcycle.com is one place that comes to mind.
#11 Shop for Others
One of life’s little necessities is grocery shopping. And it just so happens to be one of those weekly chores that a lot of people don’t have time for. This is where you come in, with the help of Instacart and shipt.com. Becoming more and more popular in the larger cities (and surrounding areas), people are willing to pay you to pick up their groceries. Heck, you do it for yourself anyway. Why not make money shopping for others?
#12 You Can Make Money Testing Websites
Also called Usability Tester, this is a fun side gig where you critique websites and blogs and record your thoughts of them. The main goal is to give feedback so the client knows what the hits and misses of their site or blog are. You sign up to be a tester, answer a few questions about a website (often via your computer’s microphone), explain what is good, bad, confusing and awesome and get paid.
As far as the pay goes, you can make anywhere from $5.00 to $50.00 to do a 20-40 minute website test.
#13 Sell Digital Photos
Everywhere you go there are opportunities to take a few pictures and make some money.. At the grocery store, walking the dog, hiking in the woods…wherever you are, whip out your cell phone and snap a picture.
Want to know the best part ? You don’t have to be a professional photographer to make money selling your photos. But the better you are, the more money you’ll make. You can expect to earn anywhere from $1.00 to $20.00 per photo.
