Complete Virtual Assistant Courses
Note: If you want to know which ‘complete’ Virtual Assistant course is right for you, this post details my side-by-side comparison of the best Virtual Assistant courses.
#1, Least expensive and geared towards complete beginners
Work From Home As A Virtual Assistant
When it comes to well-established Virtual Assistants, the creator of this course – Tina Hilton – is one of the best. She’s been doing VA work since 2007 and even has a successful VA coaching business where she helps people learn valuable Virtual Assistant skills.
Her top-rated course, Work From Home As A Virtual Assistant, shows you how to launch your VA business with easy-to-follow modules.

What the Course Covers:
You’ll learn the steps to prepare for your first client, how to best equip your office, and all the essentials for creating your business like setting your rates and finding your VA niche.
The time-saving client intake, assessment, and consultation forms offer even more value, making this course well worth the price (which is currently $12.99).
Check out Work From Home As A Virtual Assistant here.
#2,All-inclusive VA training that goes into detail about everything, including service niche training
Fully Booked VA
If you want to know how to start a Virtual Assistant business from the ground up, this is the course for you.
Considered to be the heavy-weight of all the virtual assistant training courses available, Fully Booked VA was created by a virtual assistant who has been instructing successful VA’s since 2011.

What the Course Covers:
This virtual assistant course is geared towards total beginners and was re-vamped to include a ton of actionable material that used to be sold separately.
LOADED with information, this online course walks you step-by-step through the entire process to set up a successful VA business.
Some of the things you’ll learn are:
- Where and how to get clients (what are the right job boards and which social groups have job postings).
- How to make money as a VA, including how to set your prices and offer services.
- Examples to help you figure out an ideal niche.
- How to choose your specialty and write your VA resume.
- The importance of creating an online presence and how to do it.
- Cold pitching know-how including templates and best practice tips.
How to work with clients….the good, the bad, and the ugly.
There are plenty of checklists, quizzes and templates that’ll eliminate a lot of the guesswork while guiding you through pitching your services, creating client contracts, and onboarding new clients.
And…
…Fully Booked VA also includes a job leads community where new virtual assistants can get leads to clients and seek advice from ‘seasoned’ VAs.
The price for this course is subscription-based, at $199.00 a month or $1195.00 a year…and there often are price discounts !
Although it may seem expensive, a lot of people claim they make their money back within a few weeks, like this new VA’s:

Check out Fully Booked VA here.
#3, Thorough training that teaches how to start a VA business from absolutely nothing to $10,000 a month.
$10K VA
Kayla Sloan is a real live virtual assistant who has been in “the business” for several years. She created the course $10K VA so aspiring Virtual Assistants can follow the exact process she used to earn up to $10,000 a month doing virtual assistant work.

What the Course Covers:
Laid out well, this course has 3 training packages that contain at least 7 modules, broken down into several lessons:
- Basic package, which has 7 modules and covers what you need to know to start a VA business, find jobs, price your services and build client relationships.
- Standard package, with all the modules of the Basic package plus 3 1/2 hours of interviews with other VA that offer insight and great tips.
- Pro package, which has everything from the Standard package plus two one-on-one calls with Kayla Sloan, the course creator, AND access to her connections to find clients.
$10K VA is pretty thorough, with most of what you need to know in the basic package. In fact, I was pleasantly surprised that it covered how to find VA jobs in the basic package…like, where to look for jobs, how to make a great pitch, and how to get more clients.
The price of $497.00 is pretty comparable to the few other complete VA training courses.
The one main con I have with this course is this: there is NO return policy. There’s no guarantee you’ll make a lot of money, but Kayla Sloan, the creator, can guarantee it’s possible to earn at least $10,000.00 a month because she claims she does it.
Check out $10K VA here.
#4, A very popular Virtual Assistant training program that goes into great detail to make sure you’re a success.
The Savvy System
Created by Abbey Ashley, this self-paced Virtual Assistant training program gives you step-by-step instructions to launch your VA business. You’ll receive the infrastructure and hand-holding to get your butt in gear and start making pretty good money.

What the Course Covers:
This course consists of 3 main segments with 102 classes covering how to launch, grow and scale your new Virtual Assistant business. Some of the highlights are:
- The course is easy to navigate, even through the numerous topics and sections.
- Abbey doesn’t just throw you to the wolves; she helps you nail down the services you should offer based on your skills and talents.
- There are action steps after most sections so you can get a ‘virtual’ hands-on feel of how things work.
- The Facebook group is very active with many current VA’s giving supportive tips and feedback. Abbey even does some live events.
- Because Abbey, the creator of the course, wants you to succeed, she’s very present in the Facebook group.
But there are some cons, for example:
- It’s only open a few times a year.
- It’s expensive…even though it’s very thorough.
This VA training course is expensive, at $997.00…BUT it’ll cover everything. You can opt to make payments of $97.00 / month, which is a lot more do-able than one large chunk, if ya ask me !
Check out The Savvy System here.

At a price of $97.00, I think it’s a good investment for new Virtual Assistants who have not gone through any paid training.

Check out The VA Toolbox here.
#2, Must Have Tools For Virtual Assistants
This is an inexpensive resource to learn more than the basic tools needed to be a valuable VA. Erin Booth, the creator, has been in the Virtual Assistant business for over a decade, specializing in high-end travel arrangements for clients. Her course is over 3 hours long and goes over the most widely used apps and online tools to help you with:

Free Virtual Assistant Catch-All Courses:
Become A Booked-Out Virtual Assistant
The first Virtual Assistant training webinar I thought was worthy of this list is this one from Abbey Ashley, creator of The Savvy System (see above). She’s been a VA since 2013 and – while on maternity leave – was able to double her corporate salary within a month
This webinar is over an hour long…and I listened to the entire thing. To be honest, though, I fast-forwarded through the first 6 minutes while she did her “hellos”, introductions, and VA basics.
This webinar does cover quite a lot of information, starting with showing how to “up level” yourself as a Virtual Assistant by offering high-end services.
She goes into these topics:
- Choosing a niche
- Devouring your subject
- Identifying your dream client
- Creating your proposal
- Why you should NOT ask for the sale
I gotta say, this workshop is pretty thorough and definitely worth the time. Not only that, she’s fun to listen to !
The Virtual Assistant Business Jumpstart

Another great free resources from Abbey Ashley of The Virtual Savvy, is this VA Business Jumpstart livestream.
