Do you wonder where you can find entry level remote jobs so you can start making money online with no experience ?

Wonder no more because today you’ll learn of several remote jobs anyone can do.

You’ll see:

  • What jobs you can get.
  • Where you can get one of them.
  • What you need to get one of these jobs.
  • How much you can earn.

Let’s get to them.

Entry Level vs. No Experience. What’s The Difference ?

Just so we’re on the same page, let’s go over the difference between an entry level remote job and
a remote job that doesn’t require experience.

An entry level remote job is one where…

…you already have some skills for the job,

…you might have a little bit of work experience,

…you have an interest and understanding in the job,

…you’re starting out at the lowest level in the employment hierarchy,

…the job is suitable for a beginners,

…a degree isn’t always necessary,

…the job often has opportunities for more advanced roles

Entry level jobs – to work from home, or pretty much anywhere – are your best bet if you can demonstrate you have an understanding of the job.

And as an added bonus, remote or online jobs that are considered entry level have the opportunity to advance into better, higher-paying remote positions.

A remote job that doesn’t require experience is one where…

…you don’t have any work experience in the job,

…you may not have any skills specific to the job,

…the job is great for beginners,

…the jobs are typically very low paying,

…the job doesn’t require a degree,

…the job is usually easier to get

As you can see, there’s quite a bit of overlap between an ‘entry level’ and a ‘no experience needed’ remote job.  However, an entry level position is better than one that doesn’t require experience.

 Entry Level Remote Jobs

Don’t let your lack of experience stop you from getting a job you can do from home.  There are plenty of online jobs where no experience is needed – all you need are your existing skills…no college degree.

For example, some common skills you may already have are writing, online research, sales, social media and general office work.

In fact, some companies prefer you have no experience because they want to hire individuals who are trainable rather than individuals who have experience are are looking for higher wages.

Now on to the entry level remote jobs – no experience needed:

#1  Social Content Jobs

A specialized branch of Marketing, social content jobs are a booming career these days.  The main responsibility you’ll have is monitoring the online channels of companies of all sizes.

For an entry-level social content job, check out ICUC, 99 Dollar Social, The Social Element and Mod Squad.  They are three well-known companies with entry level remote jobs cleaning up their client’s online presence and acting as brand advocates.

The companies I just mentioned have legitimate online jobs that pay weekly, but...the pay is only $12.00 and hour.

Not quite the average pay of $43,000.00 a year to monitor social content.

So this is what you can do:

After you’ve worked for one of the entry level companies I mentioned, check out the marketing jobs with Toptal, Aha!, Chargify, and Zapier.  These “remote first” companies often have marketing jobs that cover everything that’ll get the company growing.

#2 SPECIALIZED Graphic Designer / Image Creator

Forget about being a catch-all Graphic Designer…what you really want to do is be a SPECIALIZED Graphic Designer.  In other words, specialize in a specif design niche and reach those customers  Maybe it’s creating Pinterest Pins or infographics or feature images for blogs.

There’s a lot of need for Specialized Image Creators, especially among bloggers, because people scan blog posts.  In other words, the more eye-catching images a blog post has, the longer people stay and read, which is why bloggers pay for this kind of work.

To get started as a specialized graphic designer, you just need to know a few things:

  • Knowledge of photo editing programs like Canva (free), PIC Monkey (free), Photoshop.
  • Know where to source images, free and paid.

Learn Canva with this free online course.

You can find work with companies like Shutterstock but your best bet is to offer your Specialized Graphic Design / Image Creation service as a freelancer on Fiverr and Upwork.  You’ll be able to charge your own rates and have the flexibility you want.

And, speaking from experience, a lot of small business owners hire Image Creators through these platforms.

What you earn is whatever you charge.  Let’s take a look at a few examples:

#3 Transcriber – General To Legal

This is one of the easiest online jobs where no experience is needed.  It’s also very flexible work you can do for a little while, gain experience, then really start to make decent money.

The work is simple:

  • You listen to an audio recording
  • Type-out the conversation
  • Have your work reviewed
  • Get paid

…being a general transcriptionist isn’t very glamorous.

A legal transcriptionist, on the other hand, is much better because it pays more (I’ll go over that in a minute).

To become a transcriptionist, consider these requirements:

  • You need good listening skills
  • Accurate typing with speed no lower than 60 words per minute
  • Knowledge of proper grammar and punctuation
  • You must adhere to the company’s specific transcribing instructions
  • A headphone
  • A foot pedal
  • Transcription software

Learn how to become a transcriptionist here.

Some of the best places to do online transcription are with Rev, GoTranscript, Ubiquis and 3Play Media.  These companies have been scouted by us here at and are very reputable but they’re more general transcription.

Speakwrite, on the other hand, hires legal transcribers.  However, they require some experience working in a law firm.

I’m not going to lie: when you first start out, the pay is pretty low.

So here’s what I suggest:

First, go through my guide on how to get started as a transcriber.

Then, if after a few months you still like doing transcription, consider doing legal transcription.  It’s a bit more involved, dealing with legal mumbo-jumbo associated with court, trials, and law enforcement, but the pay is a lot better.

Like over $35,000 a year better !

In fact, this comprehensive online course will help you kick start an awesome career as a legal transcriptionist and make big bucks.

#4 Blog Editor / Proofreader

This is one of the most in-demand online jobs out there today.

Why ?

Just about everyone who produces written content needs someone to look over their writing. And with an explosion of new blogs every day, there are more opportunities than ever before, making this one of the best ways to work online – from home – and get paid big bucks !

And the pay ? How does over $36,000 a year sound?

Scribe Writing,, Smart Brief, and Cactus Communications are four well-known companies that have a variety of proofreading and editing jobs. You can work anywhere and make decent money working on a variety of documents…

…as long as you can prove you have the chops.

And those “chops” don’t include prior proofreading experience.  What you do need are a Bachelor’s degree, command of the English language, and excellent writing skills

But if you don’t have a Bachelor’s degree and want to take advantage of the in-demand proofreading and editing opportunities out there, here are a few things I suggest:

#1, take a look at some of the quick little proofreading or editing gigs on MTurk (Amazon’s answer to crowdsourcing).  You should be able to pick up some experience – and a few bucks – pretty easily as long as you “qualify” (meet the qualifications set by MTurk) for the gig.

#2, offer your editing and proofreading skills on Upwork (an in-demand talent platform).   You’ll see a lot of small businesses and blog owners NEED people to edit and proofread their blog posts.

And if you want to invest a few bucks in yourself, take this top-rated online course to learn how to be an effective proofreader.  I think you’ll be glad you did.

#5 Virtual Admin. Assistant

There are a lot of entrepreneurs and small business owners that don’t have the time or ability to do the day-to-day office duties. So they pay people to do those things for them.

And that’s good for you.  In fact, you can become an Admin. Assistant with no experience pretty quickly and easily just with the knowledge you have.

And it’s not out of line to make $18.00 – $40.00 an hour for your time.

Take a look at how much this freelancer (via Upwork) charges for her talent:

#8 Social Media Specialist

A remote job in social media is quickly becoming the most sought-after opportunity out there.

In fact, I think it’s one of the easiest remote jobs to get with no experience.

There are Social Media Specialist jobs that don’t require previous experience and still pay pretty good.  But don’t expect to do more than just answer comments and messages or share interesting content. However, the more experience you gain, the more involved you’ll be in a brand’s social media strategy.

Your best bet for landing a Social Media Specialist job without a butt-load of experience is to freelance, and for that you can turn to Upwork.

The upside to freelancing: you can set your rate.  $30.00 an hour isn’t unheard of.

The downside: competition, so you really have to stand out and offer some awesome skills.

Where can you find a Content Specialist job ?

The first place to check are content-only job boards like ProBlogger and Blogging Pro.

Then, once you have a bit of experience, these companies frequently hire Content Specialists:

#10 Customer Service Specialist

Probable one of the best remote entry level jobs  is customer service.

Even though a lot of these jobs are call-center based, there are some really great companies that hire customer service reps to work remotely – not part of a call center.

There are companies that hire Customer Service Reps. without experience that also pay you while you go through the training process.  You can also check out Nexrep, Accolade Support, Uhaul and Liveops.  All great considerations because you’ll gain valuable experience to take to your next remote job.  And these jobs are easy to get.

The bad news: They pay around $9.00 an hour.

…if you already have experience, and want to make more than $9.00 an hour, check out companies like Automattic, Taxjar,, Hotjar, and Recharge.  They frequently have open remote customer service jobs that pay a LOT more than $9.00 an hour !

#11 Translator or Interpreter

A recent Gallup poll tells us that 1 in 4 people in the USA can carry on a conversation in two languages.

Impressive !

I barely remember the few common phrases I learned in High School French class.

If you’re on of these bilinguists, you can make money at companies like Gengo, Lanuguageline and Unbabel.

Ziprecruiter tells us that the national average pay is $21.00 an hour for interpreters and $33.00 for translators.

#12 Edit Transcripts For Court Reporters

Otherwise known as Scoping, this is a work at home job that doesn’t require any experience. Well, almost none, you should know how to read and type.

What you’ll do is take transcribed /stenographed court reports and convert them into words. Pretty simple, really, and you can make over $20.00 an hour doing it.

#13 Sell On Amazon

You sell it, Amazon ships it.  That’s Amazon FBA

Otherwise known as Fulfilled By Amazon

All you really have to do is have an item – or items – that people want to buy. Amazon does the rest. Like my friend MaryAnn, she sells all-natural soaps and lotions and makes a nice profit of over $12,000 a month, working less than 20 hours a week.

Interested in learning more about selling stuff on Amazon ? This top-rated, nearly 5 out of 5 star awesome online course lays it all out, like how to:

  • Source products
  • Make a passive income
  • Figure out what to sell by analyzing Amazon’s product categories

  • Find a product that will sell 10 units or net profit $100/day
  • The ins and outs of selling on Amazon
  • How to promote your Amazon listings

media accounts for money.

#14 Direct Sales

I used to sell Avon.  My friend Amy sells Mary Kay.  My sister is a Stella & Dot jewelry stylist.  I bet you know someone who makes money with at least one of these companies, right ?

Avon, Mary Kay, and Stella & Dot are my three favorites, but there are so many direct sales companies out there – giving you the opportunity to sell just about anything. These companies are more than just ways to make money from home, they are ways to make a living offering stuff you really like and appreciate. And you’re a business owner, to boot !

Now, I have two important things to say about this way to make money:

  1. Talking to people is a must. You make your money hosting “parties” and selling the products.
  2. Getting started will cost a little bit of money.  This covers sample products, support, a website, online directory listings…everything you need to be successful  That’s just the way direct sales companies work..

Get started with Avon $10 starter kit

Get started with Mary Kay $100 starter kit

Get started with Stella & Dot  $199 starter kit
