Awesome. Let’s get to ’em, then.

Work from home jobs that require no experience

Work From Home Jobs That Require No Experience (well, almost none)

#1 Online Moderator

Wonder how all those online forums, comments, reviews, and – yes – even some social media, are kept so clean? I mean, no cussing, no bad behavior, just good clean Q and A.

Online moderation, that’s how. You can be paid for having no experience except for the ability to keep a brand’s online presence nice and tidy. ICUC, The Social Element and Metaverse are three big players that hire people to do this kind of rewarding work from home.

#2 Be A LEGAL Transcriber

Wondering why I capitalized the word LEGAL ?  Because practically no one talks about it.  We all read about online transcription jobs, but those jobs are for general transcription (for the most part).  Legal transcription is a bit more involved.

What’s the big deal, then ?  The pay…it’s better.  And Janet Shaughnessy from TranscribeAnywhere.com has a comprehensive training course to get you going.  But first, take a look at her FREE MINI COURSE.

#3 Do Proofreading

Just about everyone who produces written content needs someone to look over their writing. Whenever I revamped my resume, I always had my Mother-In-Law review it for grammar and spelling errors. But proofreaders aren’t relegated to critiquing resumes, they may review menus, blog posts, novels, manuals….even social media posts and emails.

And the pay ? How does over $36,000 a year sound?  Now that’s what I call one of those well-paying work from home jobs requiring no experience!

Caitlin Pyle, the founder of Proofread Anywhere, has tapped into this little niche and started a free intro. workshop to help you get started making money as a proofreader.

#4 Be An Online Assistant

The world is full of people who need to have little office-related tasks done. Little things they can’t, or don’t want to, do themselves. So, if you tap into things you already know how to do, you can expect to average $18.00 – $35.00 an hour.

Some of the more sought-after Online Assistant tasks are: social media management, managing customer support, crafting emails for client email lists, managing blogs and blog post schedules.

#5 Manage Pinterest Accounts

This is probably the hottest online job going these days. And with good reason; Pinterest currently has over 200 million monthly users on their image search engine.

Managing Pinterest accounts is pretty easy to do, all you need to know is how to use Pinterest and be able to create cool Pins. If I had it in my budget to hire someone to do these things for me, I would find someone in a heartbeat.

Here’s where you can learn how to earn good money managing Pinterest accounts.

#6 Be An Online Language Teacher

Teaching a “foreign” language online to people around the world is a rewarding job for anyone who wants to set their own flexible schedule. You’ll help people around the world learn the language you are most efficient in.

iTalki is one of the most popular language-learning platforms out there, with teachers setting their own rates and earning on average over $20.00 an hour and you don’t need a college degree !

iTalki Quick Facts

  • They have over 3 million language learners
  • You’ll provide language lessons to anyone who thinks you have the chops to teach them

  • You’re paid per lesson and you can accept/decline any lesson

Requirements To Become An iTalki Teacher

There are 2 types of teachers: Professional, or Community based.

Professional teachers typically make more money, potentially over $30.00 an hour, but you need professional teaching experience in a school, university, or language institute as well as a Bachelor’s degree and teaching certificate (i.e. CELTA or TESOL) from an accredited institution

Community teachers may earn a little less, around $20.00 an hour, but all you need is patience, understanding, and the desire to help others learn a new language.

Fiverr used to be known as the place to sell a “anything” for $5.00.  Today, it lets you expand on your “thing” so you can make even more money.

And what’s even better, you don’t need a higher education to make great money on Fiverr. All you need is the ability to do something someone is willing to pay for.  And when I say pay, I mean cheaply pay.  Remember, Fiverr (FIVE – er) is all about $5.00 or less in what people pay.  So you don’t want to have a service that takes you hours to complete only to make 5 bucks.

My research turned up these most sought after services that you can do, if you can do them quickly:

  • Logo creation

#8 Social Media Manager

Don’t let this title scare you, there are Social Media Manager jobs out there that don’t require previous experience. #9 Be A Content Manager

Some might consider this just a nicer way to say “writing gig” but I like to think this kind of work is more upscale…more than just crunching out articles about anything.

As a Content Manager, you’re expected to create content related to a certain niche, usually for a blog or website. You may write blog posts, source videos and images to be used in blog posts, schedule publishing dates of articles and even create social media updates.

The ProBlogger Job Board is the best place to find Content Manager jobs.

#10 Translator or Interpreter

A recent Gallup poll tells us that 1 in 4 people in the USA can carry on a conversation in two languages. I’m impressed because I barely remember the few common phrases I learned in High School French class.

If you’re on of these bilinguists, you can make money with this handy little talent with companies like Gengo, Lanuguageline and Unbabel.

#11 Edit Transcripts For Court Reporters

Otherwise known as Scoping, this is a work at home job that doesn’t require any experience. Well, almost none, you should know how to read and type.

What you’ll do is take transcribed /stenographed court reports and convert them into words. Pretty simple, really, and you can make over $20.00 an hour doing it.

Internet Scoping School has a FREE ONLINE MINI COURSE that will get you through the basics. Check it out.

#12 Sell On Amazon

You sell it, Amazon ships it !

All you really have to do is have an item – or items – that people want to buy. Amazon does the rest. Like my friend MaryAnn, she sells all-natural soaps and lotions and makes a nice profit of over $12,000 a month, working less than 20 hours a week.

Interested in learning more about selling stuff on Amazon ? awesome online course lays out all you need to know, like how to:

  • Source products from around the world
  • Make a passive income with their Amazon FBA business
  • Work from home as an entrepreneur
  • Analyze a product and product category on Amazon in minutes and decide what to sell on Amazon
  • Negotiate the best price for various manufactured goods
  • Minimally be able to find a product that will sell 10 units or net profit $100/day
  • How to sell on Amazon and earn a second income

#13 Monetize Your Social Media

Kylie Jenner has made a huge portion of her wealth through social media, I think mostly by promoting her make-up line or something. Because she has a huge following, she sells a lot of her make-up through her social profiles.

But you don’t need an enormous following to make good money with your social media, you just need a decent number of followers who interests similar to yours.

So how do you actually make money with your social media accounts?

Similar to what Kylie Jenner has done, you can find a product that you strongly believe in, promote it on your social media and when someone buys it, you earn money. This is basically affiliate marketing 🙂

You could also create an e-book or online video and promote them through your social posts.

Already have an online service? Use social media to promote it.

Entrepreneur.com has an awesome article that details a lot of ways you can leverage your social media accounts for money.

#14 Direct Sales With Companies Like Mark Kay, Avon, Stella & Dot, or…

I used to sell Avon.  My friend Amy sells Mary Kay.  My sister is a Stella & Dot jewelry stylist.  I bet you know someone who makes money with at least one of these companies, right ?

Avon, Mary Kay, and Stella & Dot are my three favorites, but there are so many direct sales companies out there – giving you the opportunity to sell just about anything. These companies are more than just ways to make money from home, they are ways to make a living offering stuff you really like and appreciate. And you’re a business owner, to boot !

Now, I have two important things to say about this way to make money:

  1. this kind of work is better suited for the extrovert because you make your money hosting “parties” and selling the products.  Talking to people is a must.
  2. You will have to make a small investment to get started, which typically includes sample products, support, a website, online directory listings…everything you need to be successful  That’s just the way direct sales companies work so going with one of these reputable companies is a great idea.

Get started with Avon $10 starter kit

Get started with Mary Kay $100 starter kit

Get started with Stella & Dot  $199 starter kit

#15 Customer Service

Customer service jobs often get a bad rap but this line of work is actually a great way to get your foot in the door as a work-from-homer.  Even though they are usually call-center based, you will gain valuable experience to take to your next remote job.

There are companies that hire Customer Service Reps. without experience and they pay you while you go through the training process . You can also check out Nexrep, Accolade Support, Uhaul and Liveops.

You Don’t Need A Bunch Of Experience To Work From Home

As you can see, you really don’t need a whole lot of experience to start working from home.  Just take a quick moment to think about what you do every day, naturally, and how that can relate to an online job.  Take a look at the ones I listed above and see which one fits you best.
